Arrive at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, where you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Take the evening to rest and prepare for your journey into the wild south.
Catch a short flight to Selous Game Reserve, one of Africa’s largest protected areas. After check-in at your lodge or camp, enjoy a boat safari on the Rufiji River — watch elephants and hippos come down to drink as the sun sets.
Spend the day on game drives across open plains and riverbanks. Look for lions, giraffes, zebras, and crocodiles, and enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild. Optional walking safari available for a close-up experience with nature.
After breakfast, fly from Selous to Ruaha National Park — a hidden gem known for its rugged landscapes and high predator density. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic drive to your lodge with game viewing en route.
Set out early for a full day of game drives in Ruaha, home to large prides of lions, elephants, leopards, and rare antelope species. Explore different habitats from river valleys to baobab-dotted hills with your expert guide.
