Your guide will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel in Arusha (around 5:30 AM) or Karatu (around 7:00 AM). Drive through the beautiful highlands to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop briefly at the crater viewpoint before descending into the crater.
Spend several hours on a game drive inside the crater floor, one of the best places in Tanzania to see the Big Five. Watch herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, and antelope, and keep an eye out for endangered black rhinos. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the scenic hippo pool site.
